Hi Dave. We are considering heading back to WDW over July 4th. I know – crowds might be bad, but it’s our only window.
We are debating between Pop (potentially 2 rooms), AoA suite, or Swan/Dolphin. The plan is two days at DHS, one day at MK. family of 4, kids 13/11 but cannot share beds. What would be your pref in hotel if in my shoes? Do not need as much theming (tho it’s nice). Other priorities are pool and food convenience/options. Worth noting my daughter has special needs, so quick commutes to the quick service and lots of options are important too.

Hey Eric, because of the bed sharing issue, I’d go with AofA suite or two rooms at Pop. If you can get two rooms at Swan/Dolphin for an affordable price, that’s also a great option, the pools are much better…

I didn t test any of the pools during my visit for this review, but I went back and was able to take a dip in the grotto pool during a more recent stay. Wow. I think this is by far the best of the bunch. The Swan Dolphin are right up there with Yacht Beach Club for the crown of best pools at Walt Disney World.
