Large Families Looking for Deluxe Space at Walt Disney World, continued
RECOMMENDATIONS BY FAMILY/PARTY SIZE, CONTINUED
9 people: Some interesting new options emerge at this party size. You can still try for two connecting rooms at the Poly (not guaranteed)–$89/person per night.
The Two Bedroom Villas at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge will not fit 9, but two DVC properties have Two Bedroom Villas that will.
The ones at the Villas at the Animal Kingdom Lodge will fit 9, and so will those at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The extra spot comes from a convertible chair added to the kitchen/dining/living room area.

More on Large Families at Walt Disney World
OVERVIEW
This page and its links build on the general Large Families at Walt Disney World page by including options beyond connecting rooms, and covering family sizes of up to 12.
A large family is one that will not fit into a standard Walt Disney World hotel room—more than 4 people for Values and almost all moderates, and more than 5 for most deluxe resorts. (See this for the distinctions among the resort classes at Walt Disney World.)
The problem with connecting rooms as a solution is that while often the best choice, Disney won’t guarantee that you will get them—so if you cannot accept that when you show up at Walt Disney World, your “connecting rooms” may be not connected, and in fact may be in completely different buildings at your resort of choice, your best options are on this page.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice. My father was career Navy, and my wife’s father was wounded with the Marines on Tarawa. We have some sense, therefore, of the sacrifices you make and risks you accept, and honor you for it. Thank you.

Families with Difficult Tranportation Challenges at Walt Disney World
OVERVIEW
Some families—particularly those coming from the West Coast, and those driving from distant parts of the East Coast or Midwest–will have difficulty arriving at Walt Disney World early Saturday afternoon, and/or departing Sunday afternoon. This could reduce their ability to carry out the itineraries for the Saturday of arrival and the Saturday evening before and the Sunday that they depart.
