Magic Kingdom Day 1 Disney World Multi Pass Itinerary with Tiana

(Note: this is from the Disney World Multi Pass Itinerary with Tiana.)

MAGIC KINGDOM DAY 1: WEDNESDAY AGENDA

Your visit to Magic Kingdom begins today.

You should have prebooked

  • Lightning Lane Single Passes (LLSP) for each of TRON at 4p, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at 5p
  • A Lightning Lane Tier 1 Multi Pass (LLMP) for Jungle Cruise at noon, and LLMP Tier 2 for Pirates of the Caribbean at 1p, and the Haunted Mansion at 2.30p

Today you do not need to use Early Entry. If you are eligible for Extended Evening Hours, you may wish to stay for these as well.

At the park you will see many of the attractions in Adventureland and Frontierland, with side trips to Fantasyland to see Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and to Tomorrowland to see TRON Lightcycle Run.

You should have dinner reserved at the Crystal Palace at around 6p.

Your last scheduled event is the evening fireworks show, Happily Ever After. If you are eligible for Extended Evening Hours, you may wish to stay for these as well.

AT THE PARK

Eat a late breakfast/early lunch in your hotel, and arrive at the tapstiles at Magic Kingdom by noon.

Head to Adventureland, and see the Jungle Cruise with your LLMP.

Ride the Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

Ride Pirates of the Caribbean using your LLMP.

Walk through the Swiss Family Treehouse.

See the Enchanted Tiki Room

Walk through the breezeway to Frontierland and see Country Bear Jamboree

Head to Liberty Square, and see the Haunted Mansion using your LLMP.

See the Liberty Square Riverboat.

Head to Tomorrowland and use your LLSP to see TRON: Lightcycle Run

Go to Fantasyland and use your LLSP to see Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Have dinner at Crystal Palace.

In Liberty Square, see the Hall of Presidents.

The last item on your agenda is the evening fireworks show Happily Ever After, best seen from the Main Street side of the Castle, no further away from the castle than halfway down Main Street.

The show is anytime between ~8p and ~9.30p (with the earlier times during shorter winter days, and the later during longer summer days and busy days). Thus you may have extra time available to you before the fireworks. If so, wander and explore the park, or see nearby rides you have not yet seen.

If you are eligible for Extended Evening Hours, you may wish to stay for these as well. Revisit your favorite rides from today, or the rides in other lands.

Magic Kingdom Day 2 Disney World Multi Pass Itinerary with Tiana

(Note: this is from the Disney World Multi Pass Itinerary with Tiana.)

MAGIC KINGDOM DAY 2: THURSDAY AGENDA

Today you continue your visit to Magic Kingdom after a late breakfast at Chef Mickey’s.

You should have prebooked

  • A Lightning Lane Tier 1 Multi Pass (LLMP) for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 11a, and
  • LLMP Tier 2 for the Tomorrowland Speedway at 4.30p, and it’s a small world at 5.30p.

Your day begins in Magic Kingdom with a visit to Big Thunder, has you headed to the Contemporary Resort for a late breakfast at Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, right next to Magic Kingdom. After Chef Mickey’s, you will then pursue a mix of mostly lower-key experiences in Magic Kingdom.

A key attraction this afternoon  will be the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Usually at 3p, sometimes it starts at 2p instead. You’ll need to double check the schedule and move things around so that you are free from 30 minutes before the start (to find a spot)  to 30 minutes after.

Moreover, you have optional time before and after the end of your formal schedule to meet with characters at Magic Kingdom, and/or tour the nearby resorts.

My itineraries build character meetings into dining. Characters expected to be available in various dining experiences you should have reserved include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Belle, Tiana, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Ariel.

But there are additional character meeting opportunities at Magic Kingdom if you wish to pursue them.

These include formal attractions—in Fantasyland, Meet Ariel at Her Grotto, Meet Cinderella and a Visiting Princess (usually Elena of Avalor), Meet Princess Tiana and a Visiting Princess (usually Rapunzel) and in Main Street USA Meet Mickey, and many other formal and less formal character meeting opportunities scattered through the park. You can take time before and after your “standard” time to pursue these meetings.

Another optional fun activity would be touring the nearby deluxe resorts–especially the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, accessed via the Resort Monorail or walking, and the Wilderness Lodge, accessible via boat.

For simplicity, the rest of this itinerary assumes you are not pursuing the optional character meets or resort tours noted above.

AT THE PARK

Arrive at Magic Kingdom by 10.45a and make your way to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  Ride it using you LLMP.

Leave the park, and either walk or take the Resort Monorail to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and enjoy a late breakfast there.

Return to Magic Kingdom either by walking or the Resort Monorail.

Depending on the start time of the afternoon parade, either

  • If the parade is at 2p, find a spot to watch the parade, then after the parade ride the Walt Disney World Railroad, taking it all the way around the park, or
  • If the parade is at 3p, ride the Walt Disney World Railroad, taking it all the way around the park, theh find a spot to watch the parade

Next, see Tom Sawyer Island, accessible by rafts near Country Bears. Usually open in the middle of the day—e.g. from 11a to 4.30p. This is an unstructured land to explore, not a defined attraction with a beginning, middle and end. Depending on how it piques the interest of your group, and how much you simply need to run around and be unstructured, it could reward a visit (include waits for the rafts back and forth) of 45 minutes to 90 minutes.

Head to Tomorrowland and see the Tomorrowland Speedway using your LLMP.

See Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress.

If you have time before your LLMP for its a small world expires, ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.

See it’s a small world using your LLMP.

Rode the PeopleMover if you haven’t already.

The boats take about 20 minutes; you may have to wait for them; and Disney wants you to check in 30 minutes before the show.  So be at the boat docks by 5p.

Take the boat to Fort Wilderness, NOT the Wilderness Lodge, which is a different resort.  Some boats go to both–check with the cast member on the boat to make sure you are on the right boat, and where to get off.

Once you arrive at the Fort Wilderness dock, ask a cast member where to go to get to Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue–it’s in Pioneer Hall, a short walk away. Most leaving the boat will head in that general direction.

PREVIEW OF TOMORROW

You will complete your visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with an early start.

Walt Disney World Multi Pass with Tiana Detailed Itinerary

OPTIMIZED ITINERARY WITH TIANA, MULTI PASS, AND SINGLE PASS LIGHTNING LANES AT WALT DISNEY WORLD

Below is my draft Multi Pass based Disney World itinerary for first time visitors who may never return, updated in late July 2024.

This itinerary optimizes Early Entry, Lightning Lane Single Pass (“LLSP”), and Lighting Lane Multi Pass (“LLMP) to minimize waits and create an overall relaxing Walt Disney World experience.

I label the itinerary as a “draft” because there’s still some lessons to be learned about supply and demand and operational features. Also for this reason there are some LLSP you buy twice, and some LLMP rides you book twice.

All the dining in this itinerary is the same as that in my prior itinerary, the Genie+ with Tron Itinerary, so no changes are needed for guests who used that itinerary to book their dining.

I’ll build the next draft after some experience has been gained.  All the dining with one exception will likely be the same in the next version. The exception is the Thursday morning Chef Mickey’s reservation, which will likely move to 11a or 11.30a to eliminate some backtracking.

My itineraries  use almost all the tools available to guests to shorten waits, and thus will only work for those staying in a Disney-owned or other hotel eligible for both Early Entry and for seven days in advance booking of LLSP and LLMP attractions.  That narrows the list to all of the Disney-owned value, moderate, deluxe, and DVC properties, and in addition Shades of Green, the Swan, Swan Reserve, and Dolphin. (For more on these hotels, see this.)

Included are a detailed To-Do List with everything you need to do–especially reservations–when, and detailed daily agendas that cover what to do and see, in order, in each of the parks.

This itinerary won’t work all weeks, and some weeks that it mostly works it may need some little adjustments. Check your week here.
