Do they typically offer room discounts the first week of December?

Nicki, yes.

Boy did this deal sell-out fast, only the most expenses rooms are left. I was about to settle for a pirates room, ugh, but then I received a magical email from visa rewards and I was able to book one of the coveted deals!!!

Hi Dave! Which resort would you recommend that would accommodate a total of 7 people in one room? There will be 2 adults and 5 kids (ages, 17, 12, 8, 6, 4). We’ve stayed at Caribbean Beach resort in connecting rooms and even though we were split up into two rooms, it was still very tight. The only upside was that the kids enjoyed the pool area immensely. Just wanted to get your opinion on other resorts that could accommodate all of us in one room. Thanks!

Deb no single space will accommodate 7 in one room. There are, however, many multi-space two bedroom villas that will fit 7+, in the DVC resorts. See this. They will be more expensive than two connecting rooms, unless you rent points.

Hi Dave, I’m surprised there was no deal for the month of Oct. Isn’t it a typically slow period of the year? I would think with demand so low, they would have had some deals? I’m very hopeful for Oct meal deals in 2017!!

Eric, this has been the common pattern for several years now. Low crowds does not mean no crowds, and the Disney hotels have been running at about 90% capacity every quarter for almost two years now. These means you cna’t read from crowds to hotels–see this for more.
