Epcot Day 1 Disney World Extra Extra Magic Hours Itinerary
(Note: this is from the Disney World Extra Extra Magic Hours Itinerary. As noted at the link, it works only during certain 2019 dates and only for folk who are Extra Magic Hours eligible.)
EPCOT DAY 1: FIRST SATURDAY AGENDA
Check in, get settled if your room is ready, and be at Epcot as soon as you can.
FIRST THINGS
- Arrive at your hotel, following the instructions in your Disney’s Magical Express packet if you are using it to get from Orlando International to your Disney Resort. Check in
- Unless you are arriving late, your room will likely not be ready, but you can leave your bags. First change into clothes more appropriate for the weather–which your To-Do List reminded you to pack in your carry-ons. You can ask to be called or texted later to find out your exact room
- If your room is ready, and if you have time–you want to be at Epcot as soon as you can–get food and supplies (bowls, napkins, scotch) for your breakfast in the morning, which you will be eating out of your room. Also get (from the counter service restaurant) “Refillable Mugs,” which you will be able to re-use at your resort for free drinks over your entire stay
- Head to Epcot as soon as you can
AT THE PARK
- Your plan today is to see as many of Epcot’s attractions as you can to free time on your second visit, see parts of World Showcase that are most fun in the evening, see the Frozen Ever After in Norway, and see Epcot’s park-closing spectacular IllumiNations.
- You should have FastPass+ for Spaceship Earth and Frozen Ever After, and dinner reservations for either Akershus or San Angel Inn at around 6p. Those arriving late may have to thin the below to just dinner, Frozen Ever After, World Showcase, and Illuminations
- Go through the turnstiles and pick up a park map and “Times Guide”–a schedule. Use your Spaceship Earth FastPass+
- Head to World Showcase, and while keeping an eye out for your dinner reservation at around 7p, see the pavilions starting with Mexico and going clockwise.
- Each pavilion will have some or all of shopping, special exhibits, a ride, a movie, and other special events—such as acrobats in China.
- Check your map, times guide, and the pavilion itself, to see what each pavilion has.
- For scheduled events like the acrobats, etc., sequence what you do when among items that are not scheduled (shops, exhibits, and rides), and bounce back and forth between nearby pavilions, so that you don’t have to wait long for the scheduled item
- Have dinner at whichever you chose to reserve between San Angel Inn inside the Mexico pyramid or the Akershus Royal Banquet Meal in Norway at 7p
- Continue touring World Showcase clockwise until about 8:30p, using your FastPass+ for Frozen Ever After
- Pick a spot for Illuminations as near its FastPass+ area on the Spacehsip Earth side of the lagoon as you can find
- Watch Illuminations, and if you are parked, taking the monorail, or taking a bus back to your hotel, immediately at its end start walking briskly to the park exit (on the far side of Spaceship Earth) to beat the crowds.
- Return to your hotel
BACK AT THE HOTEL
Buy food, supplies (bowls, spoons, etc.) and refillable mugs for breakfast in your room at your hotel counter service or gift shop, if you did not have time, or a room assignment, earlier.

You will spend the first of two days at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Animal Kingdom Day 1 Disney World Extra Extra Magic Hours Itinerary
ANIMAL KINGDOM DAY 1: FIRST SUNDAY AGENDA
Today you begin your visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which you will return to next Sunday morning. You should have dinner booked at Tusker House as the Rivers of Light Dining Package.
You should have FastPass+ for Na’vi River Journey, Finding Nemo, and Kali River Rapids. Bring spare socks and shoes to change into after Kali River Rapids. Be in the park by 1p…but…
If you look ahead to next Sunday morning, you will see that you need to be back at Animal Kingdom by 6.30a. If you can do the first few hours of that visit today–arrive at 6.30a, and then see Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, DINOSAUR, and the other rides in Dinoland–then you will be able to sleep in two more hours next Sunday and arrive at 8.30a then instead. If you do this today, you will then today have a break between 9a and 1p, by which time you want to be back in the park
(Note: this is from the Disney World Extra Extra Magic Hours Itinerary. As noted at the link, it works only during certain 2019 dates and only for folk who are Extra Magic Hours eligible.)

Hollywood Studios Day 1 Disney World Extra Extra Magic Hours Itinerary
(Note: this is from the Disney World Extra Extra Magic Hours Itinerary. As noted at the link, it works only during certain 2019 dates and only for folk who are Extra Magic Hours eligible.)
HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS DAY 1: MONDAY AGENDA
You begin today quite early at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and have the option to return in the evening to see one of the two evening shows. Doing so will make your Wednesday evening back in the Studios simpler…but you also have an early wake up tomorrow for Magic Kingdom, so most should not do this and go to bed earlier instead.
You should have FastPass+ for Tower of Terror, Star Tours, and the Frozen Sing-Along.
AT THE PARK
- Arrive at the park and be through security and the tapstiles well before Extra Extra Magic Hours begins. I can’t tell you now exactly how early, but 5a seems safe…
- Enter the park, enter Galaxy’s Edge, and ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Re-ride if the lines are not already crazy.
- Explore Galaxy’s Edge, but by 7.30a (earlier if your checks of wait times indicate they are taking off) be over in the Sunset Boulevard section of the park and ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
- Check the waits for Toy Story Mania, and if they look tolerable, backtrack there and ride it
- Have breakfast, then ride Tower of Terror at 9a via FastPass+
- Head back over to the other side of the park, and see Muppet*Vision 3D
- Ride Star Tours via FastPass+
- Head back to the center of the park, and see Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
- See the Frozen Sing-Along with FastPass+. As soon as you have tapped in, refresh FastPass+ availability.
- If you have not seen it already, your highest priority for such a FastPass+ would be Toy Story Mania.
- Refresh FastPass+ as much as you wish, and head back to your hotel
If you wish to return in the evening for one of the shows (Fantasmic, at 8 or 8.30p, with a second showing possible, or Star Wars: A Galactic Awakening, at 10p) first check for FastPass+ for Fantasmic if that’s your target. Otherwise be back in the park and in line for Fantasmic by an hour before show time, and/or be in the area in front of the Chinese Theater by 45 minutes before the Star Wars show time.

Magic Kingdom Day 1 Disney World Extra Extra Magic Hours Itinerary
MAGIC KINGDOM DAY 1: TUESDAY AGENDA
Today you start your visit to the Magic Kingdom, seeing a bit of Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and then touring some lower-wait attractions in Adventureland and Frontierland. You divide your Magic Kingdom visit with brunch at Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort near the Magic Kingdom, and end your day at Fort Wilderness’s Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue.
You should have FastPass+ for Space Mountain, the Tomorrowland Speedway, and the Jungle Cruise. The other fixed points in your schedule are Chef Mickey’s and Hoop-Dee-Doo.
(Note: this is from the Disney World Extra Extra Magic Hours Itinerary. As noted at the link, it works only during certain 2019 dates and only for folk who are Extra Magic Hours eligible.)
AT THE PARK
- Be at the park by 6.30a
- At open, head to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and ride it
- Then go to Tomorrowland and see Buzz Lightyear
- Ride Astro-Orbiter
- See Space Mountain (FP+)
- Ride the Tomorrowland PeopleMover
- Ride the Tomorrowland Speedway (FP+)
- Go to Adventureland and if you can fit the Swiss Family Treehouse and the Enchanted Tiki Room around your FastPass+ for the Jungle Cruise. If time is pressing, see one or both of these after Chef Mickey’s
- Exit the park about 10.30 and either walk or take the resort monorail to the Contemporary Resort. Eat at Chef Mickey’s
- Return to the park, head into Tomorrowland, and see the Carousel of Progress and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Then see anything in Adventureland you missed this morning
- Head back to your hotel, and inquire as to the best way to get to Fort Wilderness in the evening for Hoop Dee Doo–this will likely be heading to Magic Kingdom and from there taking a boat to Fort Wilderness
- See Hoop-Dee-Doo
- Ask cast members outside for the best way to get back to your hotel. Most likely you will return by boat to the Magic Kingdom, and catch a bus or monorail there.

Hollywood Studios Day 2 Disney World Extra Extra Magic Hours Itinerary
(Note: this is from the Disney World Extra Extra Magic Hours Itinerary. As noted at the link, it works only during certain 2019 dates and only for folk who are Extra Magic Hours eligible.)
HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS DAY 2: WEDNESDAY AGENDA
Today you return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to complete the visit you began Monday. The following starts in the early afternoon. However, you have the option of getting up really early again and heading back to Extra Magic Hours for more Galaxy’s Edge (or re-rides, or rides you missed on Day 1).
Pre-book FastPass+ for Slinky Dog Dash (2-3p if you do not plan to pre-book Savi’s Workshop, Oga’s Cantina, and/or the Droid Factory; 12-1p if you do have plan to see them) and for the shows Beauty and the Beast and Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. Ideally, you will pick both the times and the order of the two shows so that you tap in for the second show as early in the afternoon as possible, so check both shows before booking either.
You should have FastPass+ for Slinky Dog Dash, Beauty and the Beast, and Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. You may also have bre-booked (or be able to pre-book first thing in the morning) building a lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop, seeing Oga’s Cantina, and building a droid at the Droid Factory.
AT THE PARK
Because of uncertainties about final show schedules, the schedule today is a little less structured. Use you Times Guide to set your final sequence.
In addition to Slinky Dog Dash, Beauty and the Beast and Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular that you’ve already scheduled as FastPass+, you want to see today:
- Toy Story Mania (if you did not see it yesterday) See it via a fourth FastPass+, or late in the evening.
- Walt Disney Presents
- Star Wars Launch Bay
- March of the First Order
- Disney Junior Dance Party (if you have fans in your group)

- (Optional) Building a lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop
