Veterans Day 2010

By Dave Shute

VETERANS DAY 2011

I recently took a cross country trip…ending up, among other places, at Disneyland, which I had first visited when my dad was stationed in Oakland.

On the flight, as my routing took me near Fort Sill, Fort Hood (God bless…), 29 Palms, Edwards, China Lake, and El Toro, I made a number of notes for this post, and was thinking especially about the role of the US Military in the latter parts of Soarin.

But none of my notes really captured what I most wanted to say.

So I’ll just say it:

Thanks so much to all of you who have risked harm’s way to keep this great country free, and thanks to your families for helping you do so.

Happy Veteran’s Day!!
