Itinerary Changes

By Dave Shute

All itineraries for arrival dates from 8/29/2009 through 11/21 2009 have been changed. Details and suggestions follow.

If, after reading them, you aren’t sure what to do about reservations you currently have based on old versions of the Autumn Winter Spring itinerary, use the “comment” section at the end to contact me!

Fantasmic has been moved from Wednesday…as it sort of is not happening on Wednesdays…and the associated Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose has been eliminated, as multiple reports suggest that the package doesn’t reliably decrease wait times.

This elimination of Mama Melrose, and a shift in the Whispering Canyon lunch from dining plan to cash, frees up two table credits for Cindy, so Cindy is no longer a cash purchase, and the overall budget is a little lower.

Cindy’s day has been changed from Wednesday in a little more than half of the itineraries for these months.  If you can’t change your Cindy reservation to the new recommended day, you can still make it work on Wednesday, just at the cost of a little park hopping that day.

Cirque du Soleil has been moved from Thursday to various days noted below to make Thursday even more of a day off.  If you can’t change your reservation, you can (mostly) keep it and your Thursday will be no more complicated than it was before.

Exceptions are arrival dates of September 19 2009, when Cirque is not operating, and September 26th, where you will be seeing Fantasmic that Thursday.

Crystal Palace has been moved from 7p to 5:30p to reflect evening parade times as early as 7p.

To-do Lists have been updated not only to reflect these changes, but also to reflect the new availability, increasing reliability, and different hours, of Disney’s online restaurant reservation system, online check-in, and the fact that the expectation is that Disney will shortly shift back from its current 90 day window for reservations to 180 days.
