The easy Guide to Your First Walt Disney World Visit, Chapter 4

By Dave Shute

Chapter 4 of The easy Guide to Your First Walt Disney World Visit covers “When to Go.”

(I’ve previously published an introduction to the easy Guide, and discussed Chapter 1,  Chapter 2 and Chapter 3.)

When to go is the most important decision, as it determines the base level of crowds and prices you will face.  Advice on it is, I think, the first way both Josh and I became known.  Sad, that…we have so much more to offer…

Chapter 4 from the easy Guide

See the excerpt.  Our stuff on when to go to Disney World is worth the whole price of the The easy Guide to Your First Walt Disney World Visit!

But wait, there’s more!!  As Josh announced yesterday, not only will the Kindle edition be out soon–end of this week, we hope–but also those who buy the paperback in June will get the Kindle version for free as a “Kindle Matchbook.” We’ll be updating the Kindle version every now and then as stuff changes at WDW (and we find more typos…) so this is a really good deal!

Hi Dave! Got the book in the mail last week 🙂

I’m going to WDW in mid November, and we would like to do Magic Kingdom Tuesday Nov 18th (at that point we will have already attended one MVMCP) I realize there are some days around it with 7pm closures (and it has EMH on the 18th) so I’m sure that day will be popular. We just want more park hours at our disposal, and will potentially take a break in the afternoon.

In the book it suggests (p.38) that this type of day would be “wildly crowded” (no surprise there). My question is – how would you anticipate that to look on a week with crowd level 3 (like that one is)?

Thanks a bunch!

Christina, thanks, hope you like it! I have two calendars, one shows EMH, the other doesn’t…but either way, yes, a day with a late close and the full evening program night that follows two 7p close will be wildy crowded… All the dates referred to on the lovely p38 are during lower crowd weeks…as that’s the only time the parties are on…

wait a minute…. I’m looking now and I think they changed something or maybe I had it wrong. That Tuesday there are no EMH at MK, but a 9pm close.
