I remember seeing the ads on tv shows growing up talking about the Polynesian. What do you think about the Poly for adults who have never stayed? I am usually at the WL, but have also stayed at GF, and CSR (was there for conference). I saw a lot of tripadvisor reviews talking about mold, the smell, it was not clean, palmetto bugs etc. I just can’t imagine Disney letting the Polynesian property get that bad.
The link above discussing the value of concierge view rooms doesn’t go to Tikiman for some reason, but to itineraries by week. I found great value at the club rooms at WL.

Andy, there’s a lot of reasons I don’t pay attention to Trip Advisor for WDW. Foremost among them is that I’ve stayed for multiple nights in all the WDW hotels so feel pretty comfortable in my comments and recommendations. The Poly is undergoing a top-bottom rehab and refurb–a couple of longhouses are already done.

Thanks for the head up on the bad link! It’s fixed now…

Does the Polynesian really have bedbugs? We are strongly considering it for our Feb. trip but there are some references to bedbugs in the tripadvisor reviews. We might go with Beach Club if Polynesian is… infested? (We have a 3 almost 4 year old)

Hi Rachel! I’m not aware that Poly has a bed bug problem. I scanned through a few recent TripAdvisor reviews (and as always was unimpressed, in general they are worth little) and did note one claim that there was….
