We are considering a trip April 4-11, 2025. Do you have an idea on crowds for that time? Will it still be busy with spring break? What is the weather typically like at that time? Thanks

James, I’m still working on this, but can give you some preliminary thoughts:
–First, the very late Easter means the crowded and expensive spring break season in 2025 goes from ~March 7 to ~April 27.
–However, among those lousy dates, your 4/4 to 4/11 window is actually a good choice. Prices are high, but better than some weeks right before and right after, and compared again to the same total spring break period, few kids are on break those dates. Most of Georgia is on break that week, but only scattered districts elsewhere (in my dataset, scattered districts in AK, CA, IN, KY).
–From the point of view of weather, while it varies, I think April to mid-May can be the perfect time to go–warm, but little rain and not yet humid.

I am looking to visit either April 25-May 2 or May 2- May 9.
With Easter being late this year what would your recommendation be?
    Thanks

Gini, I think both will be fine (the weekend of the 25th being the worst) but between the two would pick the week of May 2- May 9.

Have the dates for 2025 weekly rankings been released yet?

Hi Susie, no, I have a lot to do before they’ll be out. I’d be glad to reflect on any specific questions you have, though…

Hi. I have a question which may be dipping into your competitive advantage. For 2024, you had 3/16 as a “7” level. This would make sense from the school calendar standpoint. But there were a lot of reports saying the crowds were actually VERY low during that week. This was attributed to the fact a couple Florida annual passes had block-out weeks at that time. If you saw this, do you anticipate factoring block-out weeks into future forecasts? Or did you think that whole “Disney is dead this week!” was overblown? Thank you.

Hi BostonEd! I have not started working on 2025 yet–it’s when I do that that I do the post-mortem. So I don’t have a strong opinion yet. That said, annual passes have wandered quite a it since the pandemic and probably are not having the effects they had pre-pandemic…

We have been to Disney 4 times, the last time sept 2023, and are possibly coming this November, 3-9. Not our first choice, we prefer the first week of Feb. If we get Genie plus each day and park hop, do you feel we can navigate around any crowds and still have a good time? Not sure how busy moderate would be with Genie plus and some fairly experienced Disney goers. Thanks!

Hi Virginia, given your experience and some Genie+ you will do just fine those dates!

Like to think I am an experienced WDW traveler/planner from Canada. 2023 went 3rd wk Apr, 2024 mid May & either wk of Sept 29(free DDP) or 3rd wk Oct. Re Apr 6-13 2025. Is this maybe a relatively not busy wk given Easter is Apr 20 & school boards that do not tie spring break to Easter will tend to be out last two weeks of March and first wk of April. Thx so much.
