Dave,

Love the site. Best by far anywhere. One quick question. I have looked thru the Disney info for 14 Dining Plans….are the Downtown restaurants going to be included?? I have noticed that they are not listed as they were last year. Thanks!! Chris

Hey Chris and thanks!

My guess is that the same restaurants will be in for 14 as are in in 2013. Most of the DTD restaurants are independently owned, and negotiations between them and Disney to be in the dining plan–that is, over the rate that Disney will pay them for a credit, and how much capacity they have to allocate–do have a way of going on til the last minute–that is 12/31/13!

Was this even remotely helpful?

Well then mosey on over to the home page, and like it on Facebook or pin it on Pinterest!

Hello Dave:
Help! Need your advice on a logistics situation. Our WDW trip is fast approaching (Nov 11) and we had pre-arranged all of our Disney dining – including the Hoop Dee Doo for our arrival night. Unfortunately, we just received word that our flights changed and we won’t be reaching Orlando until approx Noon (an hour later than we anticipated). Our Hoop Dee Doo reservations are for the 4:00 pm show that same day! Some people have told us that it could be a 3-4 hour trip from the airport to the WDW resort on the magical express transportation – which means I don’t think we could make this show time & the 6:00 show is already sold out (of course). What are your thoughts on this? Do you think we could make it from Orlando airport to Polynesian with enough time to then get to Fort Wilderness (or we could go straight to Fort Wilderness and check in late??). Thought, suggestions, advice – PLEASE! THANKS!

Amey, responded on Facebook, but commenting here too because other people read this stuff!

Three hours is a good benchmark for gate to front desk, but it can vary. Then you have a monorail ride and boat ride to get to Fort Wilderness, a little walk–and they like you to check in 30 minutes before. So you are indeed tight.

Because of that, I’d advise not using Magical Express on your trip down, but rather cabbing from MCO to the Polynesian. You can still use ME on your trip back to the airport…
