A Squint at Disney World 2012 Deal Blackout Dates

By Dave Shute

ONE ANGLE ON DISNEY WORLD DEAL BLACKOUT DATES IN 2012

Those who stay at Disney World resort hotels a lot know that sometimes there’s material in your room offering you a discount on future dates if you book before you complete your current reservation.

One of these offers was in my BoardWalk Inn room on a recent visit, and I thought the offer blackout dates were worth noting.

The 2012 dates excluded from the offer were the following:

  • 1/6-1/7
  • 1/13-1/15
  • 2/9-2/11
  • 2/19-3/3
  • 3/11-3/17
  • 4/1-4/28
  • 5/27-6/2
  • 6/10-8/4
  • 10/7-10/20
  • 11/4-11/10
  • 11/18-11/24
  • 12/2-12/8
  • 12/16-12/31

You have to take this with a grain of salt so far as guidance on blackout dates for other deals goes.

For example, one current deal covers parts of two of this offer’s  blackout periods, in late April and early June.

That said, the post-June 2012 blackout periods match pretty well with the blackout periods on at least some 2011 deals…
