What’s Open During Extra Magic Hours at Walt Disney World

By Dave Shute

(This page is one of a series explicating Walt Disney World lingo, abbreviations, and FAQ for first time family visitors to Walt Disney World.)

ATTRACTIONS OPEN DURING EXTRA MAGIC HOURS AT DISNEY WORLD

Below is the current list of attractions available during morning and evening Extra Magic Hours at Walt Disney World.

(Extra Magic Hours are a perk offered to those staying in a Walt Disney World resort hotel, and a few other hotels.  See this for more.)

The attractions are grouped by theme park and then by time–morning or evening.

Where relevant, I’ve also grouped them by area of the theme park.

I always forget, for example, that Adventureland and Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom are not open during morning Extra Magic Hours, but are open in the evening ones.

I love the magic hrs. Not as many people in park and lines are low and u can go on more rides than u think in an hr or two. And there enough rides and good rides to make sure u enjoy this. Thanks Disney for one more reason I love going here and have the best time

I have linked your page to my friends and family so that they can enjoy WDW like we do. And you are our “goto” mousepert. This September will be our first FastPass+ WDW trip out of 15 trips. We are staying on property for 14 nights and have been serendipitous travellers by not creating a schedule and do lots of park hopping. To sign up for FastPass+ times, I think I need to know the extra magic hours for the parks. What are your thoughts about this? And if it makes a difference, how do I find that information?

Hi Cindy and thanks!! You should buy the book too you know– https://yourfirstvisit.net/2014/08/06/get-your-easy-guide-defaced-august-16-or-17/

In September it’ll help not only to know the EMH but also the nights MK closes at 7 for the Halloween party.

Party days are much less crowded at MK, and conversely days with the full evening program are mobbed. You can see both either by using this link https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/calendars/2014-09-01/ (chane the last two nums to your arrivla date) or this one: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/ParkHours/WDWTravelAgent_september.pdf

The second link is easier to use, but not always as updated as the first…EMH and party dates won’t chnage, but if operating hours chnage they won’t necessarily show up on the second link…
