Walt Disney World 2010 Price Seasons

2010 RESORT PRICE SEASONS AT WALT DISNEY WORLD

The material below shows the different resort prices at Walt Disney World at different times of the year in 2010.

Ticket prices don’t vary over the course of the year–although they typically have an annual increase in August. See this for more on ticket prices.

Resort prices, however, are almost twice as high during some periods as they are at others.  The details are below.

PAY MORE TO WAIT IN LINE LONGER

The major price at Walt Disney World that varies by season is hotel room cost. (Disney also does seasonal increases in dining prices, but if you use the Dining Plan, this won’t affect you much.)

Unfortunately, prices mostly tie directly to crowding—that is, the more crowded the parks, the longer the lines, the more your hotel will cost.

The exception is the second half of the summer—Deluxe prices drop to the bottom in mid-July, and Value and Moderate prices drop in mid-August. The parks remain crowded through early August. (The second half of August is also cheap, but not that crowded.)

The summer is priced this way to pull guests out of June and earlier July, compensating for the facts that Florida schools traditionally open in early to mid-August, and that the hurricane season begins its worst period in mid-August.

Below are actual Walt Disney World 2010 resort price seasons. “X% Higher” means compared to the lowest prices of the year.

In addition to the below, Disney ups prices an additional $10-30 per night during certain weekends and holidays.

We haven’t been to WDW for 10 years now and I SO miss it! I just love the entire enperiexce every time I have ever gone. Epcot is always my favorite place – we have dinner each night we are there in a different country.
