Walt Disney World 2009 Resort Price Seasons

OVERVIEW

This site recommends that you arrive in Disney World the second Saturday after Thanksgiving.

For those who cannot go to Walt Disney World then, the material that follows illuminates the different resort prices you will face from going to Walt Disney World at different times of the year in 2009.

You can find 2010 seasons, and estimated dates for 2011 seasonal price changes, here.

PAY MORE TO WAIT IN LINE LONGER

The major prices at Walt Disney World that vary by season are hotel room costs. (Disney also does seasonal increases in dining prices, but if you use the Dining Plan, this won’t affect you much.)

Unfortunately, prices mostly tie directly to crowding—that is, generally the more crowded the parks, the longer the lines, the more your hotel will cost.

OVERVIEW

I recommend arriving the second Saturday after Thanksgiving.

If you can’t go then, I present below the weeks of 2009 in order of best to worst

The ranking is designed for first time visitors who do not know whether or not they will return.

For visitors on a return trip, who would be less concerned about ride closures, the January and early February weeks would be ranked much higher–with the (Tampa) Super Bowl, President’s Day, and MLK day weeks being the worst of these.
