Itinerary Changes for Christmas Week 2012

I recommend the Summer Itinerary for Christmas Week…not because it’s so summery then, but because Disney World operations during high-crowd periods like summer and Christmas are similar.

However, the itinerary assumes standard 9a opening hours and the typical pattern of morning Extra Magic Hours.

Disney’s December calendars already indicate additional morning Extra Magic Hours, especially at the Magic Kingdom; Disney likely will add between now and then even more; and 8a general public openings, especially at MK and the Animal Kingdom, likely will be added as well.

So what you need to do is check the operating calendar–even the night before–for opening times/EMH, to make sure that you do in fact arrive before the parks open!
