Disney Visa Deal Suggests Summer General Public Deal Coming Soon

By Dave Shute

DISNEY VISA DEAL LIKELY PREFIGURES GENERAL PUBLIC DEAL TO COME  SOON

Disney Visa Deal Announced Today from yourfirstvisit.netA Disney World deal for Disney Visa cardholders for stays between June 16 and August 27 came out this morning.

Typically, a similar deal for the general public comes out shortly after the Visa deal is announced.

Speculation is that the general public deal for these dates at Disney World could be released as soon as early next week. However, Disney’s current deal is bookable until March 28, so it may be after that.

The deal has two levels of discounts, one for June 16-August 9, another for August 10-27.

Details as I have them are below. Thanks to Joe Black for the heads up on this!!

Deluxe Resorts

  • 30% off: Animal Kingdom Lodge (Standard/Pool View), BoardWalk Inn, Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian, Polynesian Village, Wilderness Lodge, Yacht and Beach Club
  • 20% off: Animal Kingdom Lodge (Savanna View/Club Level),

Disney Vacation Club Resorts

  • 30% off: Boardwalk Villas, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs
  • 20% off: Animal Kingdom Villas (Jambo and Kidani), Beach Club Villas, Villas at the Wilderness Lodge

Moderate Resorts

  • 20% off (25% off 8/10 to 8/27): Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans Riverside, Cabins at Ft. Wilderness
  • Excluded: Port Orleans French Quarter

Value Resorts:

  • 15% off (20% off 8/10 to 8/27): All-Star Music, All-Star Sports, Pop Century, Art of Animation Family Suites

Hello – Are the dates usually the same for the Visa deals and general public deals? Does Disney typically release a “late summer” discount for the second half of August into September? (We are visiting WDW Aug. 25-Sept. 1 and were hoping for a room discount for the entire length of our stay.) Thanks for all your help and great info!

Rachel, yes. No guarantees, but “usually” and “typically” are right.

Rachel, the discounts typically apply to your check-in date, so you should be ok if you are checking in on the 25th, the discount will apply to your whole stay.

AJ that’s how free dining works, but it’s not how room deals work. Room deals apply only to the dates within the announced window.

Hi I called this morning (Disney) since I had a pre-existing summer reservation. They only had royal rooms at POR and they were more money even with the 20 percent off. They told me there were no discounted rooms left at CBR and there were a few at CS but they couldn;t guarentee two near each other and I needed two rooms? Have you had much success in your bookings? I called today from 10:15 to about 11:05 – yes it took that long – they said there were very limited rooms available. Last year I was able to get one right away! Thanks for any advice you have!

Ooops! Sorry for relaying mis-information. Thanks Dave, for clarifying.

Are the studios at the Wilderness Lodge considered a vacation club villa?

8 Dave { 03.22.15 at 10:44 am }

Shannon, the Studios are in the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge, next to the Wilderness Lodge itself–so yes.

Thank you! Hopefully they’ll come out w/ a late summer deal.

When booking a Disney visa early promo, is only the initial down payment required on the visa or is the entire trip required to be put on said visa? Or is it possible to pay trip off afterwards with another card? Thanks!

Heather, you have to put a deposit–I think it’s $200–on your Disney Visa to get the early Disney Visa deal. But after that you can pay the balance how you choose!!
