First off I have to say that your website has been a lifesaver to me. Now for my questions. My family and I will be arriving at WDW March 30th, 2013. We will be staying seven nights at your recommendation, The Polynesian Resort. I had planned to use your seven night Easter itinerary. However, I do like the order of the theme parks better on the seven night Summer itinerary. My question is, does it really matter which itinerary I use for the week of March 30th? Also, I do not think that my family would like the Cirque Du Soleil show. Can you suggest an alternative? Thanks so much.
Hi Rachel, and I’m glad the site is helping!
Just to be clear, my recommendation is 8 nights, not 7! See https://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/how-long-to-stay/
Yes, you can use the Summer itinerary. It is in fact what I recommend for 2013, tho you can’t tell from this page–I need to fix that. See https://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/how-long-to-stay/
Feel free to skip Cirque, and take the rest of that evening off!
Hi Dave,
I actually forgot which page that I posted and it’s been awhile since I looked at this but happened to run across it and found my question. At first when I posted my previous question, I planned everything based on the Easter Itinerary except changed Sunday to a Saturday arrival date. I was able to get all of the meal reservations that you suggested based on this itinerary. I’ve tried to go back and make reservations using the Summer Itinerary v3, but I wasn’t able to get reservations for Cinderella’s Royal Table on Monday for lunch; dinner on Wednesday at the Rainforest Cafe (but not sure that this matters since we’re not going to Cirque du Soleil). However, I was able to get reservations for Cinderella’s Royal Table on Sunday, 3/31 at 12:05 pm , Thursday, 4/4 at 12:00 pm and Saturday, 4/6 at 9:55 the morning that we will be leaving. Also, I scheduled Crystal Palace for Friday, 4/5 at 7:30 since we will be leaving Saturday morning. Which of these reservations would you keep and which would you cancel to try and stay on the Summer Itinerary v3 which you recommend. This has become a bit confusing to me to I hope that you can help. Thanks.
I want to mention that I’ve been on the Disney World site and went back and looked at your Comprehensive Dining Guide and made additional reservations for Biergarten on 4/3 at 7:00; Sci-Fi Dine In Theater on 4/4 at 7:55. So again would like to know your opinion on which to keep and which to cancel. Thank you so much.
