    Thanks, Dave.

I was trying to weigh the benefit of shorting travel time with the monorail vs. buses against the tiny tot appeal and 2-room situation vs. smaller space in one room. I’ve become a religious follower of yours as I plan this trip and knew you would have the answer!

    Dave,

We have a Family Suite at AoA booked for your 2014 Week 5. With the deal, it would be nearly the same price to stay at the Poly for the same week. We are already choosing to break some of your rules (traveling with 3 under age 8 and spending at least 40 waking hours over our 9 day stay in the hotel napping and swimming and relaxing) would you still recommend that we switch to the Poly? or because of our extended hours in the hotel and our little ones that we should stick with AoA? Thanks.

Hi Lalani, you must obey my rules LOL! My rules only much matter if you will never be able to come back. Kidding aside, younger kids can have a wonderful time, especially if they have naps. And AofA is a much better place for naps than the Poly, because of the two rooms and two baths…giving the adults a place to retreat

I have seen this discount, and I am a little confused on how the discount works if book a Magic Your Way. I understand that x resort gets x discount, but how does that translate for the rest the tickets and food portion? Also, does one free ticket day, mean just a ticket for the parks or a day of the “package’? Thanks for any insight!

Shelly, the discount is only on the room rate, not on anything esle. And the extra ticket day is just that–not a free night at the hotel…

Same situation here – I have had a Disney Visa for so many years – and have never gotten an email or a pin.

I have had a Disney Visa for about 3 years and have never received an email with a pin code. Is that something I have to sign up for additionally?

Absolutely on point. If everyone booked rooms, there would be no incentive for Disney to offer a discount….since they base them on filling room inventory.

I do have a disney visa but this is the first I have heard of it. How do I get this deal now? Do you have to have a pin code or something or is there a different site to go to to book it?

Well put, Dave. I was just saying to my husband that I love your site (even though we’re far beyond first-timers) not just because of the very helpful information you share, but because of the no-nonsense way you write. Well, okay, I enjoy it when you throw a little nonsense in there, too. 🙂
