I am a Disney travel agent and usually head to Disney the second week in December to avoid the Pop Warner week and to research the parks for anything new. I missed last year due to illness (thank goodness as the Pop Warner week had changed) but always plan my trip in February and March because I am a planner. Do we have any inkling as to Pop Warner week for 2014 yet? Makes me nervous that they made a change last year and don’t want to get caught up in that this year.

Hi Sherrill, I don’t have 2014 confirmation, but do now know the logic they use– it’s the “first full week of December”–starting Sunday. So unless they change their date approach–this has held for 11 years now–Pop week will be the week beginning Sunday 12/7 in 2014.

I seriously am just now finding out about Pop Warner week. I booked my trip, 9-15 to WDW 6 MONTHS AGO!, expecting to be away from crowds and teenagers because they were going to be in school. Why me? How does this happen?

I love this site. Asked my travel agent about possible pop warner dates for 2013 and she acted like she had no clue about anything. My choice is clear to leave my vacation for the first week of December thanks to your sire’s breaking news. I had put off selecting my vacation at work till I found out about pop warner. Thanks so much for all your leg work to help poor planners such ss myself!!!
