easy Guide 2016 Changes

By Dave Shute

The 2016 edition of The easy Guide to Your First Walt Disney World Visit came out in late September 2015.

CHANGES NOVEMBER 1, 2015

Mel let me know we have a typo on page 159–the minimum height for Rock ‘N’ Roller is 48 inches, not 44 inches.  (We have it right on page 11!)

Also, the Pirate rooms in Caribbean Beach (page 68) have completed their refurb, and are in fact staying as full bed rooms, not queen bed rooms.

FIRST UPDATE: OCTOBER 7 2015

On October 7 we published a minor update. Here’s what’s in it for those who purchased the book before then:

  • Page 35: “Night of Joy” will be at Wide World of Sports in 2016
  • Pages 38 and 39: The Osborne Lights have shifted from “Expected not to be shown” to “Will not be shown.”
  • Page 103 and 107: Parking now $20 a day, not $17
  • Page 149:  Season of the Force will run from January 8 through March 20, and Star Wars Launch Bay will open in December 2015.
  • Page 168 and 246: Pecos Bill now offers burritos, rice bowls and fajitas, not burgers
  • Page 268:  The overpriced ($69 adults $41 kids) Narcoossees Sunday Brunch is added: “Sunday brunch is an expensive fixed price affair. It does include a mimosa, champagne, or bloody mary for adults and a fruit smoothie for kids, but it’s hard to justify these prices when the entrees include the likes of brioche French toast and chicken and waffles. Still, those looking for some pomp and circumstance may find some value here, particularly if you enjoy a morning cocktail and choose the lobster eggs benedict or steak and eggs as an entrée.”
