Hi Dave, we are planning our 3rd trip and still using your site to help! A couple quick questions – is Hollywood Studios still opening at 7 am (or earlier) for the most part? We are going in May and the hours are showing as 9 am to 9 pm so just trying to make sure we aren’t out too late the night before at another show if in reality we will be needing to get to HS at 6 am! Second, wanted to clarify whether you need to be inside the park to join a boarding group for RotR? Is it possible to join if you are enroute to the park? Thanks so much for your help!

      Hi Amy!! Great questions.

–The hours on WDW’s website should be considered minimums, not commitments. Disney routinely extends these, typically about mid-way through the preceding month, but it can change opening up to the night before, and closing the day of. My guess is that May will be 8a opens until the Memorial Day holiday, with 7a opens over the holiday weekend. If I were in your shoes I would avoid a late night before your HS day(s)
–You can’t join a Boarding Group until a. you have tapped in with your ticket/magicband and b. the park officially opens. So no enroute joining
