We stay at CRB between Oct 26th-31st .We have a 7:40 breakfast at Chef’s Mickey. We’re planning park the car at TTC and head to breakfast then walk or ride monorail to MK. What do you suggest for the best way to do and when should I leave my room.

Sunisa you could do that. Me, I’d drive to the Contemporary and then move to TTC after breakfast, or take the special morning bus from CBR. For the bus, ask the concierge the day befroe where and when to pick it up. If you do drive, I’d be rolling at 7a or 7.10.

Hi Dave – do you know if the monorail closures are still in place during the day? We will arrive on May 4th and want to plan transportation options.

Just returned from Disney World and with the large crowds for President’s Day weekend, the closure is a real problem. This past Thursday, not only was the monorail closed, but the boats (all of them) were not running because of the wind. It was a nightmare. Be prepared for very crowded buses, angry tourists and long waits. The buses are often so crowded that you have to wait for a second bus. If you are a guest at one of the hotels on the monorail line, you have good reason to be upset. We were staying off Disney property and it still disrupted our stay considerably.

      Michelle:
POFQ to the Poly for 8:30 breafast: there’s a special bus that gets you to character breakfasts. Ask at the POFQ concierge desk the night befroe when to meet it.

From Animal Kingdom to DTD at 4pm Bus to Pop or Art of Animation, change there to a Downtown DIsney bus

From MK to Hoop at 6:15 Boat to Fort Wilderness from the front of MK

and from MK to DTD and Back around 3:00 pm Walk to Contemporary Resort (path is by the buses) and get bus there to DTD. Reverse to return…

Thank you, thank you!! I was hoping someone would update on how transportation is working without the monorail. Staying at bay lake in March and bummed. I want to be optimistic about the busses and your update is making me think that maybe it won’t be so bad. To get to dinner at Ohana from the contemporary, should we take the bus to the TTC, then bus to poly? What would be best?

Denise, to get to Ohana during the no-monorail middle of the day, I’d walk to the MK bus stop, and take the Poly bus from there

We will be there on Feb 24th. The monorail is one of my daughters favorite parts. This is going to make it fun getting from Art of Animation to Grand Floridian. Might be taking the boat this time.

Dave.. sounds like the women are doing a lot of complaining!! hahaha (yes, I said it, and I’m a woman.. haha)

And those doubled up buses look scary!!! hahaha I’d be afraid to ride in the back and chance getting “unhitched” hahaha
