Mail and Comments: Finding Current Walt Disney World Discounts

DISNEY WORLD DISCOUNTS…FOR TIME TRAVELERS
Bob recently commented on the post New Walt Disney World Discount Plan is Out as follows:
“I haven’t been able to find these discounts on the WDW website or any other WDW-related travel sites. Can you provide a link?”
Bo couldn’t find these discounts because the post he was looking at referred to deals that expired in early 2010.
Although these “use by” dates were noted on the page, they weren’t in the title, in the headers, or in bold.
Moreover, I’ve got many more pages like it about now-expired deals, some of which are even more unclear about the dates they expired.
What I’ve done with all such expired discount pages I could find is to do permanent redirects (301s, for those of you into the technical side) on them to my main Walt Disney World discount page here.
THE TOMORROWLAND SOLUTION TO OBSOLETE WALT DISNEY WORLD DISCOUNTS
What that means is that if links to any of these pages about obsolete discounts are clicked, the user won’t be taken to an obsolete discount, but rather to the page that provides links to all principal current discounts.
Try it–click on the link at the top of this page that’s the post Bob commented on, and you’ll be taken not to it, but rather to the discount summary page instead.
I could have just deleted the obsolete pages, but that would have led to a not-helpful “file not found” when links were clicked. The redirect preserves responsiveness to what people are actually trying to do–find out about available discounts–while skipping them past the obsolete material.
Thanks, Bob, for highlighting the problem!!
And I may not have found all the obsolete discount pages–if you run across one, let me know by using the comment box at the foot of it!
Thanks, Dave.
