I commented on another one of your “Favorites” articles. It’s a curious thing how my favorites and “must do” list has changed as we’ve become frequent visitors. Simply put, we tour and vacation differently than a first time or infrequent visitor. I agree 100% with Peter Pans Flight and Splash Mountain. In fact I think Splash mountain is the pinnacle of WDW imagineering and rides. It has it all. Peter Pans Flight holds nostalgic charm. We always fast pass it. I like the music, the tiny little cars in London, the mermaids, etc. So simple but it’s just works, although I think they turned up the speed of that one and the Pooh ride too. It seems to go by faster now. I’d love to know if my suspicion is right. Where I disagree with you is the Tiki Room. It’s silly, but I think it’s beautiful at night, especially the fountain in the waiting area. I like inside and looking out the windows at the sky slowly changing colors, and then the lighting and rain. We’ve talked of how cool it would be to walk out the exit at the end of the short show and find ourselves on that tropical island. In any case, I like that we now take time to take in the architecture, design, and thoughtful touches that they put into so many things, especially the Magic Kingdom. Great article!

KenR, in all honesty I have never paid much attention to the Tiki Room at night. I will make a point to do so next time! And I do agree that the show itself hits its peak when the Tiki Gods get involved…

I surprise myself sometime with how much I love Peter Pan, especially since the whole volcano section is so badly done–Disneyland does this much better. My sons think my liking for it is pure nostalgia for my youth and my parents…
