PHOTO TOUR OF A ONE BEDROOM VILLA AT DISNEY’S BOARDWALK VILLAS

Floor Plan One Bedroom Villa Disney's BoardWalk Villas from yourfirstvisit.netOne Bedroom Villas at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas were renovated in 2015/2016 and sleep four in a king bedroom and a fold-out queen couch in the living room.

Floor Plan Two Bedroom Villa Disney's BoardWalk Villas from yourfirstvisit.netAdd a second bedroom to make it a Two Bedroom Villa (the second bedroom will be identical to the Studio covered earlier in this review) and the sleeping capacity goes to nine–but with no more kitchen/dining/living room space, making the overall Villa a little tough for groups larger than 6.

The entry to a One or Two Bedroom Villa begins with a hallway into the main spaces.

One side of the entry area has a large closet…

…and beyond it, on one side of the room a dining table and a couch.

Here’s the couch side from the back of the space.

The dining table is not particularly large, nor does it have many chairs–especially for the nine people a Two Bedroom Villa will sleep. The backs of the chairs have knobs which become quite uncomfortable quite quickly.

There’s a cute breakfast bar and two more (and more comfortable) chairs next to the kitchen.

Deeper in the living area you’ll find this couch.

It unfolds into a bed which I measured as 60 inches wide by 78 inches long, with a 4+ inch cushion.

Bed Clearance Living-Dining-Kitchen Space Disney's BoardWalk Villas from yourfirstvisit.net

The Villas here have a slightly different layout than other similar ones, which means that there’s more clearance between this couch and the breakfast bar when open–I got three feet of clearance, whihc is 18″+ more space than you’ll find in some similar DVC villas. This means that it’s a little easier for folk to get around in the living room when this bed is in use than at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club Villas, or Saratoga Springs, all of which have otherwise similar designs.

Table Storage Living-Dining-Kitchen Space Disney's Boardwalk Villas from yourfirstvisit.net (2)

The table in front of the couch has storage…

…as does the fun steamer-trunk-themed side table.

Beyond the couch you’ll find the balcony or patio.

The other side of the living space has a 54″ TV over a dresser, and an easy chair.

A closer view of the dresser (the movie was Red Dawn, I think)…

The small kitchen is across from the dining table.

It includes all the basic appliances and everything you need to prep, cook and serve meals, other than counter space.

Some of the stuff it comes with:

These refurbed rooms are lighter than the old versions, and I quite like them.

They are missing some of the cute touches formerly present, such as this teacup lamp.

But there’s still some fun art in the room.

I just LOVE that teacup lamp. I collect teacups. That would fit right in here at home.

I love it too, Kelly!

We recently stayed in a one bedroom villa. We LOVED it! Terrific, fresh décor. We loved that little pull out sofa. Much nicer in person than in the photos. Do you know who manufactured it?

Sorry, Susan, I don’t! But so glad you loved it!

Slightly strange question: Do you happen to know if the vacuum cleaner has a detachable hose that I can use with my ziploc storage bags?

And are vacuum cleaners pretty much the same across all DVC Florida resorts?

We are staying at BLT and BWV this June. Planning on packing many items with the storage bags so as to use only carry-on luggage.

Thank you for tolerating my OCD-ish question!!

Katie, the evacuated zip-lock is a great way to limit bulk, and bag fees, so no need for you to apologize! I, however, do need to apologize, as we’ve used these vacuums exactly once, years ago, and my photos don’t clearly show the presence of a hose (they seem to indicate its absence).

Suggest you ask your query in a forum with DVC owners, like this one: https://www.easywdw.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?17-Disney-Vacation-Club-(DVC)

Can you give me a room number close to elevator, preferred view, fireworks, high floor

8 Dave { 01.19.20 at 11:08 am }

Hi Bette, it looks to me like you will need to pick a priority.

There are some villas at the Boardwalk Villas that may have a distant view of part of the Epcot fireworks, but these are “standard view” rooms whose daytime view is of the entry road and parking lots, and are distant from elevators.

See this: https://dvcinfo.com/forum/threads/boardwalk-villas-rooms-views.2319/#post-34132 where the green-outlined villas in the area just before the right angle turn might have a partial and limited Epcot fireworks view.

On that same link, green rooms after that right angle turn will have distant and partial views of the Hollywood Studios fireworks, but are even further from the elevator. Scattered rooms among those outlined in red will have distant and partial views of the Hollywood Studios fireworks, at various distances from the elevator, but I can’t give you room numbers for unblocked views.
