Hi, I am staying in October with my family of 5 and are beginning to plan dining. We want one Italian meal. We recently ate at Mama Melrose’s in HS (W/ Fantasmic Dinner Package) and loved it. Wanted to know your opinion of which one to go to, Melrose’s, al Forno, Tutto Gusto or Via Napoli. Also, just found out there is Breakfast at Be our Guest for a limited time! 🙂 http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/03/new-breakfast-starts-march-20-at-be-our-guest-restaurant-in-the-magic-kingdom-at-walt-disney-world-resort/

Hiya Debbie! I’ll be tracking the reviews of the BOG breakfast closely–it looks pretty pricey. For picking the restaurant, it’s pretty hard. Like I am more of a fan of deep dish pizzas than Neapolitan style, so Via Napoli is a bit of a yawn for me. My advice is to look at the menus and prices and select based on that… PS Jim Korkis’s column this Friday is about Mama Melrose, so come back and check it out!

Would not recommend. Romano cheese was offered 3/4 of the way through my meal, water provided but we had to pour our own, finished meals and empty dishes sat in front of us for 15 minutes. Two managers stood there looking around like they didn’t want to be there. Not once they check in on diners. Place had just opened for dinner and the seater gave us attitude for requesting a seat change as a couple we wanted to be further away from little kids. The most unfriendly, poor serviced disney locale I’ve ever experienced in ten plus Disney trips. I’ve received better service at chick fil A for a 1/4 of the price and the food was better there too. Never eating there again.

It’s “polpetta,” not “popletta,” “desserts,” not “deserts,” and “Trattoria al Forno” is a crazy name as it sounds like “oven-baked restaurant.” Or tavern. But I look forward to trying it out and I enjoyed the review.
