When to Go Itineraries for the Rest of the Year Basic December Itinerary
Today is the first of your three visits to the Magic Kingdom! You will be there until 4:15, then off to Fort Wilderness for the 5p Hoop Dee Doo Revue, then back to your hotel and to bed!
You need to be at your bus stop (Pop) by 7:20, or at the Resort Monorail Stop (Polynesian) by 7:40.
Your goal today at the Magic Kingdom is to see Fantasyland in the morning, and a number of less crowded attractions in the afternoon
FIRST THINGS
- Get up early and have breakfast in your room
- Don’t forget your Hoop Dee Doo Revue tickets!
- Pop Century Guests: Be at your hotel bus stop by 7:20 am, and catch the bus to the Magic Kingdom
- Polynesian Guests: be at the Resort Monorail Stop (reached from the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House) by 7:40
AT THE PARK
- Arrive by 8. When you are let in at the opening at 9, head straight for Cinderella’s Castle and go through it to Fantasyland
- Ride first the attractions that because of their capacity, popularity, or both, get busy quickly–in order, Dumbo, Cinderella’s Golden Carousel, Peter Pan, the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Snow White’s Scary Adventures. If your children imagine they are too old to enjoy one or both of the first two–then they are, and skip to the next items on the list
- Finish the remaining rides in Fantasyland
- Note the time of your seating for Cinderella’s Royal Table Lunch (cash) and interrupt your morning for it as needed
- Keep track of time, as you have a 3p parade to watch, and need to be at the boat docks at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom by 4:15p
- When you have finished Fantasyland, go to Liberty Square and see the Hall of Presidents and ride the Liberty Belle steamboat
- Time permitting, and fitting in around the 3p parade, see the following rides in Frontierland and Adventureland: The Country Bears, the Enchanted Tiki Birds, and the Swiss Family Treehouse (you will see the rides in these lands you are skipping tomorrow night or Saturday morning)
- Watch the 3p parade
- If you are finished with the list above, but still have time before you need to be at the boat docks at 4:15, head to Main Street and explore
Note: Bring The Comprehensive Guide to Rides and Rides that Might be Skipped in case your day gets to be too intense!
YOUR EVENING
- Be at the Magic Kingdom Fort Wilderness boat dock (ask a cast member if you can’t find it) for the resort launch to Fort Wilderness by 4:15p
- When you arrive at Fort Wilderness (NOT the Wilderness Lodge), follow the crowd, looking for Pioneer Hall–just a few hundred yards in from the boat dock
- Check in for and enjoy the 5p Hoop Dee Doo Revue (two table credits)
- Return to the boat dock and take the boat to the Magic Kingdom
- Return to your hotel by TTC monorail if you are staying at the Polynesian, or by bus (at the Magic Kingdom bus area to the right of where you exit the boat) if you are staying at Pop Century
