Estimating Future Walt Disney World Crowds, Continued
By Dave Shute
Additional Walt Disney World historical data is included in the thumbnail to the right. Inferences from this data helped shape the recommendations in 2008 Weeks to Visit, Ranked in Order, and 2009 Weeks to Visit, Ranked in Order.
*I exclude Epcot in this analysis because its hours are (almost) always the same, and the Magic Kingdom because demand outstrips supply in the peak seasons, and in the off-peak seasons, special paid events (MVMCP, Pirates and Princesses, Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party) obscure the true capacity offered. Disney provides park hours (usually) 6 months in advance, so the analysis is limited to 6 months from now.
