2017 PROJECTED RESORT PRICE SEASONS AT WALT DISNEY WORLD
The material below shows my current projections of resort price seasons at Walt Disney World at different times of the year in 2017.
These projections are based on recent Disney price season practices. Actual 2017 prices will likely come out in the summer of 2016, and I will update this material as needed then.
(For 2015 prices, see this, and for 2016 prices, see this.)
Ticket prices don’t vary over the course of the year–although they typically have an annual increase during the year, and Disney has tested by survey variable ticket prices… See this for more on ticket prices.
Resort prices, however, can be almost twice as high during some periods as they are at others.
In the material below, “X% Higher” means compared to the lowest prices of the year.
In addition to the details presented, Disney ups prices even more during certain weekends and holidays–particularly over the Marathon weekend, Martin Luther King Day weekend, Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, and Columbus Day weekend.

Hi Dave,
Love the information on your site! We’re planning a 2017 trip with two kids who will be 4 and 5. I know some of the rides close in January, but would it matter with kids this age anyways? Are the rides that close typically the 40 or 48 inch and above rides anyways? (I have short children). 🙂 Any other reasons not to go in January? Other options are March, April, May 2017. What is your opinion on the best time to go (weather, crowds, cost all factored in)? Thanks again!
