PHOTO TOUR OF A TWO BEDROOM VILLA AT DISNEY’S BEACH CLUB VILLAS
Disney’s Beach Club Villas has three room types:
- Studios, one-bay spaces with a queen and fold down couch,
- One Bedroom Villas with two bays–a kitchen/living/dining space with a fold-out sofa and a master bedroom with a king
- Two Bedroom Villas that either combine the first two via a connecting door (called a “lock-off,”) or that are very similar to the first two combined, but were designed from the start as a Two Bedroom and hence don;t have a seocnd entry door to the seocnd bedroom.
The floor plan shows a Two Bedroom Villa, but the second bedroom, on the left, is very similar to a Studio–replace the smaller closet by the entry with an entry door to the outer hall, and put a kitchenette with a microwave into part of where the larger closet is, and you’ve got a Studio.
Our latest room was mostly like this, but because of an angled corner in the building, our connecting door to the second bedroom was actually deep in the living room, rather than near the entry.
Here’s the bed side of the second bedroom…
…and a closer view of the queen bed.
Next to it is the sofa…
…which folds out into a bed.
I measured this bed as 54 inches wide by 74 inches long. Because of the metal rail at the foot it sleeps shorter than that, and the cushion in thin. This sofa bed–like all the others at Disney World–is best for kids, not adults.
In most Beach Club Villa spaces, there’s a balcony for each area. Here’s the balcony of the second bedroom in our Villa
The other side of the room has a TV on top of a dresser and a table and chairs. The connecting door to the living room you see here is not typical–it’s more commonly closer to the bath.
Here’s a closer view of the table…
…and the TV/dresser.
Storage in the dresser is adequate.
At the other end of the room is the divided bath. Here’s the sink area…
…and in a separate space the tub/shower and toilet.
Outside the bath in this area you’ll find in a Studio or a lockoff the kitchenette. Here’s one from a Studio in Saratoga Springs. Beach Club Villas kitchenettes are very similar.
You’ll also find here one smaller closet in a Studio or a couple of big closets in a dedicated Two Bedroom Villa.
As studios or as second bedrooms in a villa, this space is fine for families of four with kids short enough to sleep on the couch.
