It is part of a series about the most comfortable way to visit Walt Disney World. Its companion series is about the most inexpensive way to visit Walt Disney World,

MORE ON THE MOST COMFORTABLE WAY TO TOUR THE THEME PARKS AT WALT DISNEY WORLD
The most comfortable way to tour the theme parks would resolve four goals: it would
- Minimize the time you have to spend planning,
- Limit how far in advance your planning needs to be complete,
- Reduce how much you have to follow a daily schedule, and
- Eliminate the early mornings in your itinerary.
The material on the rest of this page focuses on reducing how much you have to create and follow daily schedules.
REDUCING HOW MUCH YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW A DAILY SCHEDULE
There are two issues here: do you need a schedule (or a daily plan)? And do you have to develop it yourself?
If you make, or have made for you, dining reservations, you will already have some fixed elements in your itineraries—places you need to be at certain times. Ideally, you will have made some park plans before you make your dining plans…so that the best of one does not conflict with the best of the other! See this for more.
In addition to this, there’s a huge payoff to following a thoughtful daily approach, in terms of seeing the best while spending the least time waiting.
Your days—especially your days where, given your meal reservations, you have fixed wheres and whens anyway—ought to have at least some general goals, and some tactics for approaching those goals.
There’s a couple of ways you can do this. One is to do it yourself, using the tools on this site, and also other resources available on the web—e.g. the half-day plans you can find at TouringPlans.com.
Another is to have your travel agent or fee-based planner (discussed in Minimizing the Time You Have to Spend Planning) also design daily itineraries for you. These daily itineraries can be as specific and detailed—or as vague and general—as you wish and are willing to pay for.
However, the best way to have comfortable visits in the theme parks while spending the least time planning, and the least time following a schedule, is to hire a tour guide.
Tour guides can take your general goals and fixed schedule elements and optimize at the moment, in real time, at your side, the best way to spend your time, given where your family moods, energy level, and interests stand at the moment.
Such tour guides—the best of which can be quite expensive—are available from the same sources as noted in the Minimizing the Time You Have to Spend Planning page.
Having a top-notch tour guide won’t eliminate the value of time you spend planning a schedule–but it will shorten that time, and improve the results of it quite a bit!

Hi Jodi, the answer is yes and yes!

We are staying at all star sports resort in nov from 21 to 25. We are getting free dining. Unable to get it at pop’s. heard dining hall will be closed. How messy will it be to take other buses to other food courts? How close is it to parks?
In planning our 2015 visit to WDW I have a concern with our luggage during a split reservation. We will arrive via Magical Express at Fort Wilderness and stay in a cabin for three nights. We will then transfer to AOA for four or five nights. Will Disney transport our luggage to the new room and will ME pick us up at a diff resort than where dropped off?
Good tour guides can make the visit most efficient and rewarding.
