DECEMBER 2013 NOW INCLUDES PEAK SEASON PRICES
Disney World made most of 2013 available for on-line booking yesterday, and has also set its 2013 prices.
In recent years, December has had two price seasons: “Fall,” which is just a bit more expensive than the lowest prices of the year, and “Holiday,” the most expensive prices of the year, with the break between them around December 20.*
December 2013 is different.
December 2013 has three price seasons: Fall, until the 12th, “Peak,” beginning the 13th, and “Holiday,” beginning the 20th.
The addition of the quite expensive Peak season into Disney World’s December calendar is a new thing.
It means that the week beginning December 14, 2013 will be much more expensive than I’d thought it would be.
THE WEEK BEGINNING 12/14/2013 MAY NO LONGER BE THE THIRD BEST WEEK OF 2013
I’ve had this week ranked as third best of the year in 2013.
Because of the new extra cost for 2013, I will spend some time over the next few weeks re-thinking this, as part of my planned revision of the draft 2013 week rankings.
*Up until 2011, this was “Value” and “Holiday.”
