PHOTO TOUR OF A STUDIO AT DISNEY’S BOARDWALK VILLAS
There’s four room types at the BoardWalk Villas–Studios, One Bedroom Villas, Two Bedroom Villas (essentially a combination of the first two) and Grand Villas. This page shows what you’ll find in a Studio and thus also in the second bedroom of a Two Bedroom Villa.
However, the photos from my May 2014 visit are from an accessible Studio, so there’s some differences between them and the floor plan, which I’ll note as I go along!
At the entry you’ll find the bath on one side and kitchenette on the other.
The kitchenette has a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker and toaster.
Here’s a closer shot of the mini-fridge.
Basic supplies as in all DVC studios include some eating utensils. (Click to enlarge.)
You’ll note some minor difference for accessibility here, in the counter heights and position of the microwave. The bath has even more.
The sink area is similar to that in other BoardWalk Villas studios, but more central. Rather than being divided, the full bath is open for easier access…
…and rather than a tub/shower combo, you’ll find a roll-in shower in the part of the bath where you’ll find the closet in other studios.
Deeper in the room you’ll find on one side a queen and a couch that converts into a bed.
Here’s a closer view of the queen…
…and of the couch.
The couch folds out into a bed that I measured as about 74″ long by 54″ wide. The cushion was 3+ inches thick, and like most DVC sofa beds is a little uncomfortable for taller and older people. In other words, put kids here, not adults…
On the other side of the room you’ll find the TV/dresser combo, table and chairs, and the connecting door to a One-Bedroom Villa if present.
Our studio also had an armoire to replace the missing closet in the bath–but that’s not standard, although the stuff in it–iron and ironing board, bedding for the couch, vacuum for DVC point owners, etc–is.
Here’s a closer view of the table and chairs…
…and of the dresser storage, which is adequate–there’s more storage in the kitchenette.
At the end of the room you’ll find either a balcony or a patio.
These studio rooms are colorful and charming, and have some really nice wall art that you can see in the various photos. Here’s a closer view of a print of the Magic Kingdom in turn-of-the century dress!!
They sleep four–and adults should only plan to sleep on the queen.
