Update: there’s a new–and much better–six night itinerary here.
This Walt Disney World itinerary is a shorter variant of the eight-night FastPass+ Lower Crowd Itinerary.

As with the other itineraries on this site, there is also a detailed page for each day of your vacation, with specific instructions for that day. Find them here:
Moreover, a detailed To-Do List covers all the steps you need to undertake–including reserving dining and booking FastPass+.

Ben, all of the itineraries on this site are designed for kids 8 or older. You can find itineraries aimed at younger folk in Cheater 6 of my book The easy Guide to Your First Walt DIsney World Visit.
Thank you for the great site. We’ve booked a 6 night stay the first week of October (Sunday arrival) with our 3 young kids (all under 5). How would you modify the recommended itinerary for a Sunday arrival? Thanks!
Kristine, my itineraries are tied to specific operating patterns, so in them “Monday” means “Monday,” not day 3, and I recommend them about 6 months ahead here http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/basic-itinerary/alternative-itineraries/ as Disney releases it operating calendars.
Thus they are hard to adjust for different arrival dates. Easier is to use the modular per-park itineraries you’ll find in my book: The easy Guide to Your First Walt Disney World Visit
I am just starting to plan for 2016. We are looking at a 6 or 7 night stay but would arrive on Saturday. How would I use the shorter itineraries that assume a different arrival day?
Diane, on specific days I won’t have an opinion until Disney releases it November 2015 calendar, which it won’t do until April. My suggestion is that you get the 2015 edition of our book (which will be out soon) and use the daily plans there as a starting point, then slot them into actual dates when the calendar comes out in April.
