As expected, Disney World today released a complex room rate deal for two periods, 8/16 to 8/28 at the values and moderates, and 8/29 through 10/3 at all resorts. (Book through 8/8.)

- 20% off: Family Suites at Art of Animation (10% 8/16 to 8/28)
- 20% off: All-Star Sports, All-Star Music, and Pop Century (15% 8/16 to 8/28)
- Excluded: Little Mermaid Rooms at Art of Animation
Moderate Resorts 8/16 through 10/3
- 25% off: Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness (20% 8/16 to 8/28)
- 20% off: Port Orleans French Quarter (not available 8/16 to 8/28)
Deluxe Resorts 8/29 through 10/3
- 20% off: Contemporary Resort, Beach Club Resort and Animal Kingdom Lodge savanna view
- 30% off: Animal Kingdom Lodge (other views) Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, BoardWalk Inn and Yacht Club
DVC Resorts 8/29 through 10/3
- 20% off: Beach Club Villas, Villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Villas at the Wilderness Lodge
- 30% off: Saratoga Springs, Disney’s Old Key West, BoardWalk Villas
- Excluded: Villas at the Grand Floridian, Bay Lake Tower

Paul, yes I do expect a room rate deal for your dates!
I tried to book the cabins at ft wilderness online with 10/3 arrival date and the 25% discount was only applied to the first night. Subsequent nights were rack rate. I thought I had read it only matters that your arrival date falls within the promotional period. Or does that only apply to free dining promotion? We already have tickets and don’t need all the meals provided by the dining plan so a room only discount is a better deal for our situation.
Ah, now I see your reply to M who had a similar post on the room and dining announcement. Looks like you are predicting a room only deal to come out in July/August.
We’re going to go on the trip during that period whether there is a deal or not. (Already have our ADR’s!) Should we wait for the offer, or go ahead and book now and then try to cancel and re-book if the deal comes out?

I think these are great deals as with 2 young kids we really don’t eat enough to make the dining plans worthwhile, but I’m bummed we’re going to miss out on these. We’re planning a trip for a bit later, October 18-23, and will miss this. Does your crystal ball foresee a similar deal becoming available for our time period?
