EASTER 2012 AT DISNEY WORLD
2012 Easter crowds (and prices!!) at Walt Disney World will hit a very high peak in the week beginning March 31, 2012, and be as high for most of the week beginning April 7, 2012.
Try your best to avoid Walt Disney World during these two weeks.
For specific 2012 Disney World Easter events (as they are announced)–ranging from where to find the Easter Bunny at Disney World to Easter Sunday services at Disney’s Contemporary Resort–see this page on MouseSavers.com.
For off property Easter services, see this for places of worship near Walt Disney World.
At Walt Disney World itself, typically Easter services are held in the Fantasia Ballroom at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny greet kids at the Magic Kingdom, and Epcot has Easter Egg hunts.
In addition, many Walt Disney World resort hotels hold “candy scrambles” Easter morning.
Check with your resort when you check in for more details.
WALT DISNEY WORLD CROWDS DURING THE EASTER SEASON
Disney World Spring Break crowds are driven by several factors.
The most important is the timing of younger kids’ school breaks, which, while distributed from early March to early May, strongly peaks the weeks before and after Easter.
If you can only attend Disney World during the weeks before or after Easter, use the Easter itinerary.
(You can preview the Easter itinerary by clicking the image–but follow this link for the full details, including required changes, daily guides and a To-Do List.)
If you wish to see more on other Spring Break weeks besides those immediately around Easter, see this page.

Wow Kendra what a group! See how the days that begin on this page work: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/basic-itinerary/alternative-itineraries/itineraries-for-the-rest-of-the-year/eastersummer-itinerary/ but also see http://yourfirstvisit.net/required-itinerary-changes-for-april-2012/
The basic principles are arrive well before the parks open, ride the most popular rides first, avoid days with morining extra magic hours, use FASTPASSES, and take the afternoons off…
Oh boy! This your article has me scared! My mom has booked a trip for all of her daughters and grand kids and up until last night we did not realize we would be arriving on Easter Sunday nor did we realize how insanely busy it’s going to be. There will be 16 of us (10 of which are children ranging in age from 1-7) is there any advice you can give us to keep us sane? Up until 3 days ago we still could have changed the trip but now our flights are booked.
