never mind…this contest is over, and the winner will be announced 2/13! Thanks, Dave
HELP ME HELP YOU!
Much of the material on this site comes from suggestions from readers like you.
Here’s a chance for you to provide ideas about topics for the site to cover and, if I pick your idea as the best, to win a free night at a Walt Disney World moderate resort!
My friends at Destinations in Florida, the travel agency I work with, have provided this prize for me to share with you guys.
Give them a look if you are seeking a travel agent to arrange and book your Disney World trip at no cost!
HOW TO ENTER IDEAS
First, once you have an idea for a topic for the site to cover, use the search box (at the very top of the page) to check that it’s not already here somewhere!
Once you’ve checked, enter your idea into the comment form below. Make sure your email address is right, so that I can later contact you to let you know if you’ve won! (No one will see your email address but me.)
If similar ideas are presented, only the first to be suggested (based on the time stamp on the comment form) will be eligible to win.
HOW YOUR PRIZE WILL WORK
I will let you know if you have won via email, and let you know how to claim your prize of one free night in a moderate resort from my travel agent partners at Destinations in Florida.
DISCLAIMERS
My decisions as to who came first and who wins are final and not subject to discussion.
No one owns any submitted idea–I get to use any entries as ideas for material to develop as I see fit, without creating any obligation to whoever provided the idea.
The contest will be over no later than a month from now.
Topic Idea: Going solo to Disney World and having a great time!
Can you tell, I need it… husband will be at a convention and I will be searching for hidden Mickeys alone multiple days. I am a once a year Disney World traveler for the last 40 years… wow… can’t believe I wrote that in public. 44 years if you count Disneyland.
I know several rides have single rider lines. I wonder if there are other options favorable for solo travelers?
And even though I am not a first time Disney traveler your site has wonderful information.
Thanks Ted!! …BTW, for two adults with the budget constraints I’m inferring from your resort thoughts, if you are a couple, I’d recommend Port Orleans French Quarter, and if you are not a couple I’d go with Coronado Springs.
I would suggest all families travel with a small yet effective first aid kit stored in a small lunch cooler (which one could leave in the hotel). Always be prepared. This has come in handy with many a trip with our family over the years!
Hey Jonathan, thanks, and tell all your friends about the site, and like it on Facebook!
Re the promotions section, see this: http://yourfirstvisit.net/2010/03/03/summary-of-current-walt-disney-world-deals-and-discounts/ Is it what you were thinking?
I don’t expect word on 2012 discounts for at least 6 months, maybe longer. Disney discounts only when its bookings tell it it has to, so it waits to see how the bookings are going…
