MORE ON THE MOST COMFORTABLE TIME TO VISIT WALT DISNEY WORLD
The most comfortable period at Walt Disney World is that between one week after Easter and mid-May.
- In 2015, arrival dates of April 11 through May 9
WHY DISNEY WORLD THEN?
Walt Disney World after Thanksgiving, and well before Christmas, is a magical time of the year, and one that also has low prices and low crowds.
That’s why this site recommends this period for when to go, particularly for families not sure if they will ever return.
This period does have one problem: very unreliable weather, with a reasonable chance that it will be too cool for adults to enjoy the pools. (Kids love heated pools in all weather…)
If there’s no reason why you can’t come back in the late November-mid-December period at another time, then you can find fine weather for your first visit.
Late spring has near perfect weather. Arriving after the Easter crowds have departed, but before the summer rains begin in mid-May, is the best way to combine a visit to Walt Disney World with relaxing time at the pool.
This period also has lower crowds than average–but higher than those in December. Its prices, though higher than those in December, are still reasonable.
NEXT MOST COMFORTABLE DISNEY WORLD OPTIONS
Your next best options are later October up until the week before Thanksgiving week, excluding the first full week of November (Jersey Week). This period typically also has perfect weather, and reasonable crowds and prices.
It comes in second here because it is cooler and more variable than late spring, and is also still in the hurricane season. However, it does avoid the peak of the hurricane season, and is likely to provide a wonderful visit.
