SEPTEMBER 2013 CROWDS AT WALT DISNEY WORLD
September is one of the least crowded months at Walt Disney World.
On a crowd scale of 1-11, the weeks beginning 8/31 has a crowd rating of 2/lower, the weeks beginning 9/7, 9/14, and 9/21 have crowd ratings of 1/lowest, and the week beginning 9/28 has a crowd rating of 2/lower.
However, even during this low crowd month, certain days at the Magic Kingdom can still be wildly crowded. See this for how to avoid them.

SEPTEMBER 2013 PRICES AT WALT DISNEY WORLD
September hotel prices begin 7% higher than the lowest of the year at the values, 6% higher than the lowest of the year at the moderates, and the lowest level of the year at the deluxes.
At the moderates and values, hotel prices shift to the “Fall” price season on September 14, and increase to 8% higher than lowest of the year at the moderates and 15% higher than the lowest of the year at the values. The deluxes stay at low prices until 9/27, when prices become 13% higher than the lowest of the year.

SEPTEMBER 2013 WEATHER AT WALT DISNEY WORLD
Early September weather is about as bad as Orlando gets: hot and humid, with afternoon storms common.

The hurricane season officially begins on June 1, but the peak of the hurricane season begins in mid to late August, and continues through September into early October.
It is very rare for a hurricane to ruin a Walt Disney World vacation. It does happen, though.

DISNEY WORLD SPECIAL EVENTS IN SEPTEMBER 2013
Disney’s Night of Joy celebration is September 6 and 7, 2013.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be on at the Magic Kingdom multiple nights beginning mid-September. See this for more on this special event, which requires a different special ticket.
The 2013 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival begins September 27, 2013.
SEPTEMBER 2013 OPERATING HOURS AT WALT DISNEY WORLD
Park operating hours vary by the day, and sometimes change without notice. It is rare for hours to be shorter than Disney has publicized, but Disney may lengthen them in response to unanticipated crowds.
