2013 WALT DISNEY WORLD WEEK PICKER: RESULTS
You’re looking for the lowest crowds, to avoid summer, and you don‘t care about prices.
The weeks that fit your answers are in the three images.
There’s an image for each resort type–deluxe, moderate and value–as each has slightly different price seasons.

Before picking your week, note that ride closures are common in January and the first half of February–making this not a great time for first time visitors who may never return to go.

I am wanting to take my family which has 4 grandparents, 2 late teens, 2and 6 year old, and us the two parents. Hope that made sense. We are planning on going down on Wed Jan 23 and staying through Monday Jan 28. I was wanting to know your thoughts on those days. We most want the least crowd possible. Will MLK day affect this choice? Should we wait until the next week(Jan 30- Feb 3)or just go on fall break in October(14-18th).
Thanks!
Lisa
Hi Lisa! MLK only affects the three day weekend–your planned dates should be fine!
I want to bring my grandson who will be 2 years old next year in early October, 2013. We will be staying at Saratoaga. Which week would you recomend.
Thank you, Jim
Hi Jim! I’m not keen on early October 2013. The first week is still in the peak of the hurricane season, and the second week has Columbus Day crowds and prices. Between the two, I’d pick the earlier–but prefer the second half of the month. See this: http://yourfirstvisit.net/2011/09/19/2013-weeks-to-visit-walt-disney-world-ranked-in-order/
I’m torn on 2 dates…first 2 weeks of November, or the 1st 2 weeks of December, staying at either POFQ or POP century. We really want to see the Christmas decor, but want to avoid the heavy crowds. Is that possible?
Renee, the second week of Nov is great, but the first is a little crowded, because of Jersey week. (See http://yourfirstvisit.net/2010/05/02/jersey-week-at-walt-disney-world/ ) The first two weeks of December are both great and are top-ranked (see http://yourfirstvisit.net/2011/09/19/2013-weeks-to-visit-walt-disney-world-ranked-in-order/ )
So I’d go with December!

Hi, I will be visiting Disney world from the 19th April to 02 May. My one and only effort is to try and avoid crowds. Do u think its going to be easy for us? What kinda wait times would i be looking at for the main attractions and rides?
Thanks.
Hi Sohrab, I don’t do specific wait times, though you can find them here: TouringPlans.com but overall I rate your dates as low/lower crowd–see this: http://yourfirstvisit.net/2011/09/12/disney-world-crowds-in-2013/
The most important thing for avoiding crowds is to arrive at a park’s turnstile before the park opens, do the most popular rides first while everyone else is sleeping, and then using FASTPASSES…
